Télé Monte-Carlo
The Irregular Special Players were invited to star in a French television documentary about the popularity of Sherlock Holmes. The production was made by Télé Monte-Carlo (TMC) and lasted approximately fifty two minutes. It featured many of the world’s most prominent figures in the world of Sherlock Holmes, including several cast members of The Irregular Special Players! Below is a selection of photographs from the filming.
Yorkshire Television
The Irregular Special Players have twice been invited by the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway to recreate some of the key Sherlock Holmes scenes originally shot at that location for the Jeremy Brett Granada television series. Local newspapers along with Yorkshire Television was on hand to capture the events of the weekends. After a full day of acting the evenings were taken up with performing murder mysteries on their Pullman dinner trains.
MIT Endicott House, Dedham, Massachusetts
Back in 1992 we were fortunate enough to perform for a private event at the MIT Endicott Estate in Dedham (a place appropriately named for a murder mystery). Unknown to us at the time the whole evening was filmed by Ang Lee the Oscar winning director, and so we can truthfully say that we have appeared in an Ang Lee film! He was very gracious and sent us an edited copy of our performance which lasts 1 hour and 42 minutes.
